Every day is a journey, and the journey itself is home

On a lunchtime walk I captured these sandhill cranes.  This photo, through the buds of this tree, is interesting because of that "ambiguity" - buds? birds?

 

Every day is a journey, and the journey itself is home.

This represents a great deal of what I've been thinking about as ideal ways of living.  The first half feels like 'homo viator' and relates to the fact that we are not settled, we are journeying, we are exploring, we are like curious travelers to a new city, we are visitors to a land of interbeing where everything is happening at once.  The second half is that this very feeling of unsettledness and openness is home, normal, AND what should feel as good, comforting, settled.
