Here's how @erinmstudy organizes her commonplace book:
1. write a quote or idea in the center of a page
2 below it, summarize it, restate it in your own words
3. below that, make a connection to previous thoughts
4. to the right of that, add questioning
5. at the top, add some use cases for when this might be beneficial.
The whole page gets filled up with a single idea... I especially like the restating, the connections, and the use case.
