Squirrels are leaving messy piles of hickory nut trash in piles all over. It's the end of the road of lots of cicadas. My impatien, which has been glorious all summer, is getting shaggy and not so vibrant any more. Black swallowtail caterpillar spent most of the week on my dill plant, getting fatter and fatter, and then disappeared.
