The "Now Page"

I stumbled upon Derek Siver's "Now Page" (which I'd never heard about).  The page is a description of what a "now page" is...
What is a “now page”?

Most websites have a link that says “about”. It goes to a page that tells you something about the background of this person or business. For short, people just call it an “about page”.

Most websites have a link that says “contact”. It goes to a page that tells you how to contact this person or business. For short, people just call it a “contact page”.

So a website with a link that says “now” goes to a page that tells you what this person is focused on at this point in their life. For short, we call it a “now page”.

And here is what Sivers' Now Page says now: (He has hyperlinks embedded)

What I’m doing now

Updated February 1st, 2023, from my home in Wellington, New Zealand.

Useful not true

I’m fascinated with this subject of choosing beliefs that are useful to me now, not caring if they’re true. For past examples, see “Everything is my fault”, “Assume men and women are the same”, and “I assume I’m below average”.

I’m so fascinated with it that I’ve decided this is my next book — a dive into this subject so I can learn what others have thought around this and think deeper about it myself. I read many books on Pragmatism, and now reviewing all past book notes for related inspiration.

Planning a social trip to India

February 13 through 21, I'll be in Chennai and Bengaluru, India.

I’m an “Overseas Citizen of India” and my son is half-Indian (Tamil). I will always have ties to India. I want to deepen those ties and make friends.

End of School holidays

It’s summer time here in New Zealand, and my boy just finished a month and a half of school holidays. He starts middle school today!

We just spent a lot of time together — like 50-70 hours a week of one-on-one time in nature. Lots of walking, playing outside, time in forests and beaches, surfing, camping, etc.

It was great, but I had no time to work — to write. I’m so excited to be writing again.
