From Jan 2024 journal:
Different Years can have different intentions. This year could be the year of:
- exploring
- care-taking
- collecting
- expressing
- blooming
- recovery
- turning
- getting big
- resting
- writing
- "right"ing
- organizing
- practicing
- assembling
Remembering: “There are years that ask questions and years that answer.” —Zora Neale Hurston.
I ask Claude about that phrase. Claude offer many examples, including (Political and Social Movements) "Year of Revolution (1948)". I like these and I like the summary:
- Personal and Philosophical Concepts
- Year of Magical Thinking (Joan Didion's book)
- Year of Yes (Shonda Rhimes' memoir about saying yes to opportunities)
- Year of Living Dangerously (1982 film, also a philosophical concept)
This phrase allows people to encapsulate the essence or defining characteristic of a particular period, whether it's a year of significant change, personal transformation, or historical importance.
