Report from 3x10 #7 - 2026

I've been daily working on the basement still, and continuing to guitar daily, also haikuing.  Here's what I've been up to from March 1-10, 2026

Basement Project

I work 5 of the 10 days.  This is all "last phase" of the mudding and sanding.  I start with making a listed schedule of last things to do -- vertical panel seams, corner seams, problem area at staircase and at covered pipes, ceiling seams, remake the N window sill; Then I spend a day on E and N vertical surfaces, and additional layers on problem areas; Another day is all ceiling surfaces; there's at least 2 rounds of the last phase.  I shine a light perpendicular to the seam to see imperfections.  I'm going around the basement with a ladder, a drywall sanding sponge, and a metal container of compound thinned with water.

Guitar

I practice 5 of 10 days, too.  I am continuing to play through Bach to begin each session, then do 3x Carcassi around 85-95 BPM.  Mainly, I'm relearning Scarlatti.  There are a few challenging sections, I worked through each one in a day or two.  I made a PDF of the 3rd page of the Scarlatti, then printed it to use as a bookmark.  But I'm not actually doing page 3 yet.

Haiku

On March 10, I wrote my 144th haiku in a row.  I have not skipped a day!
